THE WRITER’S BOOK

I’m indecisive about what to become, there are so many options to choose from, maybe I should become a doctor, be kind and save lives, or a lawyer, rip off the blindfold from mother justice’s eyes so she can clearly slay evil with her machete or maybe I should become an engineer, or a nurse or an economist so I can be like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala someday or maybe I’ll just become a writer make people feel things with my words, make them cry, laugh, angry draw empathy from them be all powerful and in control of other’s emotions, hmm very tempting but I think I’ll rather be a book

CAN I BE HONEST?

Nobody loves us more than we love ourselves, oh well there is God but God is not a person and his love is beyond our mortal understanding, yeah so, nobody loves us more than we love ourselves that is why we do a lot to protect ourselves including lying. Why do we tell people we are fine when otherwise we are at our bitterest position, so they don’t worry about us right? Yes, that’s a reason. What can also count as a reason is the fact that we want to protect ourselves, we don’t want them to see us as weaklings, as someone who can not stand heat, or maybe we just don’t want to see ourselves as something other than the strong man or woman that we are, someone who can not be fazed. Or maybe we were forced to be fine. I want to let you know that it’s okay not to be okay, telling people how you really feel and owning your emotions is something that requires a tremendous amount of bravery, and it’s not something a weakling can do, choosing to own your emotions rather than fighting it is a true act of self-love. Caroline has gained this realization, that’s why she asked this question “Can I be honest?” A question which caught the entire family’s attention, because the Caroline they know doesn’t utter a word in the meeting unless she is spoken to, but she just asked a question out of the blue, this stunned them.

COMING FROM INSANITY

MAD:

behavior or thinking that is very foolish or dangerous: extreme folly.
completely unrestrained by reason and judgment: unable to think in a clear or sensible way
Merriam Webster dictionary provided me with those definitions that correlate perfectly with my concept.
We have all gone mad at a point in our lives
Those little things we do that seemed right to us because of how our current situation has shaped our brain, like how I’m sitting Muslim style inside my balcony with an umbrella thrown over my head when it is not even raining outside and it doesn’t seem wrong to me, I don’t see it as an insane move but if someone sees me right now they would definitely question my sanity.

Intentions

Hi guys.

So, I had a conversation with a friend yesterday, and I learned something I already knew from her but it seems as though I never knew it. What I learned is that you should be intentional about what you do. Why do you do it, is it because you have to, is it because you have people to impress, is it because you have expectations to live up to? If you do it because of those reasons, you are actually not doing it. Because your intention does not concern God or you. Whatever you do, do it because you have a reason you believe in. A reason that drives you, a reason that would give you a sense of accomplishment when you do it. A reason that would satisfy you. There is a lot more to this but I just can’t find words to express them, shocking I know. All I can say is: Do it because you believe in it, do it because you know and understand why you should and the benefit of doing it. Just let the reasons convince you.

And I hope I was able to send a message across and not confuse you. But I just had to share this because I believe that this is going to positively change some things in my life and I wish you would understand the depth of what I just said and beyond the physical meaning of “intentions” and then get the feeling I have right now.

Anyways, be intentional.

Tints of Omolara

Omolara is plain and simple
Omolara is fierce and dangerous
Omolara is sweet and nice
Omolara is bitter and evil
There are various tints of Omolara

She can be the little angel you want to hold and never let go
She can also be the nightmare that haunts your sleep.
She can be the help you need to get out of that black hole
She can also be the digger, the orchestra of your misfortunes.

Omolara is one and plenty.
Omolara is single but diverse.
She can be many shades of good and many shades of bad.
She can’t pick a side, she can’t be singular
For with her came many shades and sizes, hues and tints she can’t neglect.

EXPIRED FEELINGS

You don’t call, you don’t text
When I hear the sound of your voice my heart doesn’t flutter
Your touch is cold, like your frozen feelings for me.
Your love is stiff, rigid like the kiss we share.

Your looks are short, bare like a desert
Our conversations are curt, boring like the relationship we share.
The air is tense and uncomfortable when we are both breathing it.
